Great wall of Telangana


We have already  known about Great wall of China. But what is this great wall of Telangana? According to sources recently found a long length of wall in telangana state. Telangana   is the state of mixture of so many historical stories. So many kings ruled this area for so many years . if we have patience to find there are so many places which still unknown. Similarly recently founded 120 kilo miters wall also having historical background. This great wall starts at the fort in Amrabad in Achampet of Mahaboobnagar
and nearly upto 120 kms wall may ends at kollapur and kalvakurthi .

     Great Kakateeya kings ruled the place of telangana . King Prataparudhra build this wall for soldiers in 13th century. Sources telling that this wall has much history background.  Amrabad was first ruled by Ekshwaku’s in 8th century. In their rule Amrabad is given to king Pattabadra for ruling. He started the base to build the great wall in Mannanur forest . this was started for the purpose of security for soldiers in Amrabad. The fort was near to Srisailam. This wall is going nearby Krishna river. After Ekshwaku’s Shalankayanas and then Vishnukundinu’s ruled this place. Later Chalukya’s ruled this from Kalyani.


     In 12th century great kakatiyas owned this fort. In the rule of Queen  Rudhramadevi this fort was built for some extent. According to the geographical purposes the fort needed 120 kms wall near to the fort. Later king Pratapa Rudhra completed this great wall for the protection.
